Description
Take a support role in crew preparation, management, and accomplishment of field tasks.
Participate in critical support tasks such as: organizing digital and paper files, receiving packages, event support, inventorying equipment, utilizing an asset management system to handle check in/check out of equipment, and more.
Assist NMFWRI staff and NMHU faculty in conducting training related to ecological measurement, treatment, analysis techniques, restoration methods and more.
Perform computer entry of field data including using Microsoft Excel, Access, FFI, or other database software with attention to detail and quality control, including working with complex historic databases.
Assist in generating summary reports and analysis of field and vegetation treatment data, and participate in the review and publication of other materials such as handbooks and technical guides.
Assist with mapping of project sites using Global Positioning System and Geographic Information Systems technologies.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of NMFWRI equipment.
Maintain regular attendance and clear communication with supervisors and colleagues in office field, and online working environments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Enrolled at NMHU
Experience:
Effective time management – continued employment is contingent upon grant/contract funding which come with time-sensitive deliverables
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in equipment management and/or administrative tasks
