NMDOH and NMBHI are working to open a substance abuse treatment program that will include medically monitored withdrawal maangement and social rehabilitation for adults at the Epi Duran building in Las Vegas, NM. We will serve clients that are struggling with mental health illness and substance abuse while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to connect patients to resources in effort to guide them toward their long term sobriety.

Why does the job exist?
This individual will provide direct counseling services (individual and group) for patients that are diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse disorders and will plan, direct, and review the work of other clinical staff and clinical programming. This position ensures the program curriculum is delivered in accordance with organizational policy, New Mexico state counseling practice, NM administrative cod, and the Joint Commission requirements.
How does it get done?
Through the use of evidence-based practice, assessment, and treatment planning, we will provide direct care services and supervise licensed clinicians that are also providing substance abuse treatment for individuals and groups in an inpatient setting.
Who are the customers?
Adult patients with chemical dependency or co-occurring disorders.
Ideal Candidate
Licensure in New Mexico as an LCSW, LISW, LMFT, LPCC, or LPAT and (3) three years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Minimum Qualification
Licensure in New Mexico as an LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or LPAT and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to visual/video display terminal {VDD and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
