Project Manager
New Mexico Consortium (NMC), a 501c3 company, is seeking an experienced Project manager (PM) to support workforce development initiatives through higher education programs in New Mexico. The Project Manager will be responsible for negotiating, preparing, and managing funding agreements with sponsors and subrecipients; ensuring contracts and agreements operate effectively; overseeing financial and reporting compliance; managing budgets; coordinating reporting activities; and supervising invoicing and payment processes.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and minimum of five (5) years of experience in contract and grant management, including budget administration and financial oversight.
Core Competencies and Skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking and sound judgement, effective time management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience managing a complex portfolio of sponsored projects.
Advanced expertise in budget management and contract administration.
Demonstrated ability to monitor compliance requirements, track milestones, meet deadlines, and manage project closeouts.
Proven ability to identify, streamline, and improve processes to increase operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
