Join our dynamic team as a Plumber/Gas Fitter, where you'll play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and gas systems across diverse construction and construction environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for craftsmanship. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality plumbing and gas fitting solutions that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in generators, residential and commercial settings.
- Fit and connect gas lines following safety protocols and local codes, ensuring leak-free connections
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, calipers to assemble pipe systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with rigging, assembly, and installation of Generac generators.
- Read basic math measurements to cut pipes accurately; solder fittings where necessary for secure connections.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues efficiently during installation or repairs.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of service experience in residential, light commercial and gas piping. Including high and low pressure gas, water treatment and tankless water heating.
- Generator installation experience a plus.
- Licensed or willing to get licensed in Delaware
- Familiarity with pipe threading, soldering, rigging, and assembly processes.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for precise work.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes & standards; experience with pipeline construction is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret schematics and technical instructions effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing for long periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as needed
