New Life Wellness & Recovery is a newly launching behavioral health organization providing Mental Health Psychiatric Day Treatment and Outpatient Counseling services to adults throughout the greater Springfield area. Our mission is to expand access to high-quality, ethical, and regulation-compliant mental health treatment by building strong partnerships with hospitals, healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners.
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive referral growth, community partnerships, and brand awareness as we launch and expand our programs.
Position Summary
The Business Development Representative serves as the front-line ambassador for New Life Wellness & Recovery in the community. This role is responsible for developing referral relationships, educating partners about our services, coordinating outreach efforts, and supporting admissions growth for our Psychiatric Day Treatment and Outpatient Mental Health programs.
This position is ideal for a relationship-focused professional who enjoys community engagement, field outreach, and producing measurable growth results while operating with integrity and regulatory awareness.
Key ResponsibilitiesReferral and Partnership Development
- Build and maintain professional relationships with hospitals, emergency departments, crisis teams, primary care providers, behavioral health clinics, courts, probation departments, schools, shelters, and community organizations.
- Educate referral sources on program services, admission criteria, insurance acceptance, and intake processes.
- Complete consistent field outreach including scheduled visits, presentations, and community meetings.
- Develop strategic referral pipelines across the greater Springfield region.
- Track and report outreach activity and referral metrics.
Admissions Support
- Serve as a liaison between referral partners and the Intake/Admissions team.
- Coordinate communication regarding referral status, eligibility verification, clinical acceptance, and scheduling.
- Support timely referral conversion while maintaining compliance standards and patient appropriateness screening.
Marketing and Brand Awareness
- Represent New Life Wellness & Recovery at community events, provider meetings, and networking events.
- Assist with development and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and outreach tools.
- Participate in facility tours for potential referral sources.
- Support digital marketing campaigns through in-field promotion and education.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, communications, human services, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of business development, healthcare outreach, admissions, or community partnership experience.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Comfort with field outreach and local travel.
- Professional presentation and reliability.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet structured activity goals.
Preferred
- Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment marketing.
- Existing regional referral relationships.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts behavioral health systems and payer networks.
- CRM software or referral tracking system experience.
