Job Description:
The Assistive Technology Specialist will be responsible for assessing clients for their technology, mobility and accessibility needs as well as delivering, setting up and training clients on the use technology. Technology may include wheelchair mobility devices, computer access devices, speech applications, eye-gaze devices, etc.
Qualifications/Skills
- Being comfortable with developing new relationships and referral sources in the area.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as a team.
- Understanding of the ordering process of DME products
- PC Savvy (skills in Excel and software applications).
- Aptitude to prioritize and work with a sense of urgency.
- Effectively be able to communicate to clinicians, consumers and internal team.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to existing clients as well as generating new opportunities for assistive technology.
- Provide consumer evaluations at home, workplace or rehab facilities to identify equipment and/or services needed
- Schedule and complete delivery, setup and training on assistive technology and DME products with consumers
- Provide technical support
- Remain informed and educated about industry regulations and standards.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal requirements such as ACHC, HIPAA, OSHA, etc. as well as company policies and procedures.
- Keep a clear line of communication with accounts to provide status updates on their cases.
- Generate and retain contacts with referral sources, including therapist, physicians and purchasers in the territory
- Work closely with management to create and execute a plan for success.
- Educate new accounts on New Life’s products and services.
- Keep informed of new technology services and products in the industry to ensure New Life is offering the latest devices for consumers to enhance their independence.
- Responsible for drafting quotes for equipment recommended or requested by customers.
- Travel is required.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor degree
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Preferred one year of sales/clinical experience in rehab or DME products
- Care equally about the client and personal achievement.
- Present a professional demeanor.
- Proficient in relevant software applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
