Summary
New Life Center Truck and Warehouse Associate is a key member of the Thrift Store team. Their role centers on helping donors both in the store and on the truck with their donations, assisting the Warehouse and Logistics Manager with managing goods coming in and going out, and assisting other store staff as needed.

Essential Functions
Essential Function 1: Truck and Program Operations
- Safe and efficient operation of the New Life Center trucks throughout all driving responsibilities.
- Provide great customer service to customers donating to the Thrift Store, speaking clearly and respectfully, as well as practicing courtesy and respect when picking up items.
- Assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager with unloading donations into the designated areas and maintain organization on the production floor.
- Coordinate between Warehouse and Logistics Manager and other departments for pickups outside of thrift store operations.
- Interact with and help provide feedback on program guests to maximize their fulfillment in the job training program.
Essential Function 2: Warehouse and Store
- Help plan and maintain the organization and utilization of storage space in the warehouse, ensuring efficient utilization of all available space.
- Work with store staff to plan the rotation and restocking needs in the store, especially in the seasonal areas.
- Assist with sorting, pricing, and filling the sales floor as needed.
- Provide direction to volunteers assisting in the Thrift Store as needed.
- Assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in maintaining the recycling program and processing material to be recycled.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with the organization's insurance carrier requirements, and provide proof of insurance, as required for the performance of job duties.
- Ability to pass DOT medical exam.
- Must be 21 years of age to operate the necessary equipment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience.
Work Environment:
- Must be in good physical condition.
- This position functions in a thrift store and warehouse setting where medium duty equipment such as forklifts are in use; appropriate safety considerations will be required to avoid injury.
- Ability to frequently and safely lift loads up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as kneel, crouch, crawl, etc.
- Ability to frequently and safely enter and exit the rear of a box truck throughout a shift.
- Ability to safely climb a ladder and work at heights of up to 20’.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, hot or cold.
- Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs multiple times during work shift.
