Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and care coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies including HIPAA.
- Conduct patient assessments and manage complex cases involving pediatric and adult needs.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on clinical procedures and protocols.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics and participate in utilization review processes.
- Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records in EMR systems.
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with other healthcare providers for continuity of care.
- Address patient concerns effectively while promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Coordinate subspecialty clinics
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with relevant clinical experience.
- Proven experience in nurse management or supervisory roles within healthcare settings.
- Pediatric experience required
- Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred.
- Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities or genetic conditions a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to perform essential nursing tasks including medication administration, phlebotomy, and vital sign assessment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as case management, health coaching, or specialized nursing fields.
