Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for both staff and patients. This role requires expertise in various nursing disciplines, including pediatric care and phlebotomy. Experience working with the Amish/Mennonite population preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to best practices.
• Oversee daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies including HIPAA.
• Conduct patient assessments and manage complex cases involving pediatric and adult needs.
• Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on clinical procedures and protocols.
• Monitor quality assurance metrics and participate in utilization review processes.
• Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records in EMR systems.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with other healthcare providers for continuity of care.
• Address patient concerns effectively while promoting a culture of safety and respect.
• Coordinate subspecialty clinics

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with relevant clinical experience.
• Proven experience in nurse management or supervisory roles within healthcare settings.
• Pediatric experience required
• Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred.
• Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities or genetic conditions a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to perform essential nursing tasks including medication administration, phlebotomy, and vital sign assessment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as case management, health coaching, or specialized nursing fields.
