Position Overview:
Our newest position, Industrial/Technical Sales Representative, will train in our Oshkosh location, and then have the option to work in our Oshkosh or Menasha office. A successful candidate will desire and support our core values, and be pivotal in our growth and market penetration.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development – Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals, revenue targets, and market growth.
- Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Lead Generation & Business Development – Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and expand the customer base through outreach and networking.
- Market & Competitor Analysis – Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, adapting strategies accordingly.
- Customer Feedback & Issue Resolution – Gather and act upon customer feedback, addressing concerns and resolving issues to maintain client satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge Development – Stay up to date on product specifications, features, and benefits to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
- Sales Process Optimization – Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and close rates.
- Reporting & Analytics – Use data and analytics to track sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve sales efforts.
- Client Retention Strategies – Develop strategies to retain and grow existing customer accounts through value-added services and regular follow-ups.
- Sales Event & Trade Show Participation – Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, generate leads, and promote products.
- Customer Proposal & Presentation Creation – Develop customized proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to specific client needs and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background – Preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Sales Experience – Preferred 5 years in industrial sales or related field.
- Industry Knowledge – Understanding of industrial products, machinery, and market trends.
- Technical Proficiency – Proficient in CRM software, data analysis, and understanding of industrial processes.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills – Ability to clearly communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving & Customer-Centric Approach – Ability to address client concerns, build strong relationships, and tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Soft Skills – Can-do attitude, emotional intelligence, adaptability, resilience, and strong time management.
- Integrity & Professionalism – Strong work ethic, respectfulness, honesty, and commitment to long-term client success.
