For nearly 50 years, New Horizons has empowered individuals with lifelong disabilities to enjoy life by promoting abilities, honoring choice, and creating meaningful opportunities for independence and community inclusion. Every program, every service, and every standard we uphold directly impacts the lives of the people we serve — and we are looking for someone who is passionate about excellence, accountability, and making an impact behind the scenes that truly matters.

We are searching for a dynamic, organized, and mission-driven Compliance & Quality Assurance Coordinator to help ensure our programs, transportation systems, residential homes, and operational practices consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory excellence.

This is not just a compliance position.
This is a leadership role that helps protect the integrity of our mission.

What You’ll Do

As the Compliance & Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring New Horizons remains inspection-ready, operationally strong, and compliant with state and federal regulations. You’ll oversee transportation compliance, residential inspections, safety initiatives, audit readiness, corrective action tracking, and organizational quality assurance efforts across multiple departments.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Oversee and manage the AZDOT 5310 Grant Program
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, registrations, and transportation compliance
  • Train staff in defensive driving, wheelchair securement, passenger safety, and transportation procedures
  • Conduct monthly inspections of residential homes and agency locations
  • Monitor AHCCCS, DES/DDD, HCBS, and OLCR compliance requirements
  • Lead audit, licensing, and inspection readiness efforts
  • Track corrective actions and ensure deficiencies are resolved timely
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and facility safety compliance
  • Conduct internal audits and provide operational feedback and training
  • Help ensure our services remain safe, effective, and mission-focused every single day

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who:

  • Thrives in organized, fast-paced environments
  • Has strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Can confidently hold teams accountable while remaining supportive and professional
  • Understands the importance of compliance, documentation, and safety
  • Believes quality services change lives
  • Is proactive, solution-focused, and mission-driven

Preferred Experience:

  • Compliance, quality assurance, grant management, transportation coordination, or fleet management
  • AHCCCS, DES/DDD, HCBS, OLCR, or healthcare/social services compliance
  • Facility inspections, audits, and corrective action management
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly valued

Why Join New Horizons?

At New Horizons, your work matters.

Every inspection completed, every safety standard maintained, every corrective action followed through on, and every compliance measure upheld directly supports the health, safety, dignity, and success of the individuals we serve.

You won’t just be checking boxes — you’ll be helping protect and strengthen programs that impact lives every day.

  • Mission-driven work
  • Meaningful impact
  • Supportive leadership team
  • Opportunity to help shape organizational excellence
  • A team that believes in integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence

Schedule & Work Environment

This position typically works Monday–Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with flexibility required based on operational and inspection needs. Frequent travel between residential homes, program sites, and agency locations is expected.
