Intake Clinician (MSU)

Program: Medical Services Unit

Works with the following population: Male and female individuals with a mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases.

Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week. Most programs work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour break.

• Unlicensed- $46,350 per year
• Associate License- $50,470 per year
• Fully licensed- $54,590 per year

Job Duties:

Under general to limited supervision, the candidate will: 

• Perform social services functions at an advanced level to individuals and their families. 
• Perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. 
• Provide counseling therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. 
• Perform commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

Minimum Requirements: 

You MUST have a Master's degree in social work or counseling, and you MUST be license-eligible. If you are already licensed (LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT), you MUST be licensed in the state of Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.
