About the Role
New Hope is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruitment Coordinator to help build and support a workforce that is aligned with our mission and values. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, supporting onboarding through New Employee Orientation, and contributing to the effectiveness, compliance, and culture of the Human Resources department.
The Recruitment Coordinator partners closely with hiring managers, leadership, and external recruitment sources to attract, screen, hire, and onboard qualified candidates who are passionate about making a difference while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely, mission-aligned hiring decisions
Pre-Employment Screening & Compliance
- Ensure all pre-employment screenings and hiring documentation comply with organizational, state, and federal requirements
- Maintain accurate, confidential recruitment and employee records
Recruitment Strategy & Outreach
- Support recruitment strategies and outreach efforts that attract diverse, qualified candidates committed to New Hope's mission
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment sources and community partners
Onboarding & HR Operations
- Support onboarding and facilitate New Employee Orientation to introduce new hires to New Hope's mission, values, and culture
- Provide general HR decision-making in accordance with established procedures when the Director of Human Resources is unavailable
Reporting & Metrics
- Track recruitment activity and metrics to support compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead the Bee the Hope program
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education and professional development
- Participate in special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of recruitment practices, HR operations, and employment compliance
- Commitment to working in a mission-driven nonprofit environment
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate's Degree or two (2) years of relevant experience required
- Three (3) years of human resources and recruitment experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
Special Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to be insured under New Hope's automobile insurance
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support orientations, applicant screenings, and special events
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
