The Opportunity
The House Manager oversees daily operations of the sober living home, to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive recovery environment at New Hope Haven Homes.
We are looking for a compassionate leader who is committed to supporting women on their journey to recovery. You will serve as a role model, provide vital guidance, maintain safety protocols, and foster a positive community atmosphere. We seek someone who is dedicated to maintaining house integrity and providing a peaceful, healing environment for our members.
Living Flexibility & Compensation
This unique role offers provided housing and utilities in exchange for overseeing the safety and harmony of our sober living community. As our House Manager, you will make this your primary residence, fostering a supportive environment while enjoying a dedicated on-site living space.
The Lifestyle & Flexibility:
This is a live-in commitment rather than a traditional shift-based job. It is an ideal fit for students or individuals with evening/third-shift employment looking to eliminate their cost of living and achieve financial flexibility.
Schedule & Responsibility:
To ensure consistent structure, the House Manager maintains an active morning schedule on-site daily from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This allows for morning house checks, member support, and new member orientations. During these hours, the house manager is expected to maintain a professional presence in common areas to ensure house rules are followed. Outside of these hours, you are free to pursue personal interests or outside employment, provided the home’s structure remains a priority.

Zero Housing Costs: No rent or utility expenses.
Private Accommodations: A private bedroom for your exclusive use.
All-Inclusive Utilities: Water, electric, high-speed Wi-Fi, and washer/dryer usage are fully covered.
Please Note: Total compensation is provided through a comprehensive housing package (private room and all utilities) valued at $1,500 per month. This covers all primary living expenses in place of a cash salary. Due to the live-in nature of this role within an all-female residence, being female is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ).
Requirements: To lead by example, candidates must have a deep understanding of the recovery process:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Sobriety: Minimum of 1 year of continuous sobriety. Free from all drugs and alcohol, including THC (even with a medical card).
- Pass initial UA and breathalyzer tests, with random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment for accountability.
- Documentation of current CPR/First Aid and Narcan certification.
- Active Recovery: Must currently have a sponsor and be actively participating in a 12-step or equivalent recovery support program.
- Must have lived in a sober living environment OR have experience as a House Manager, Peer Support Specialist, or have a recovery-focused degree.
- Communication: Must have a reliable, high-functioning personal cell phone with an unlimited/consistent service plan.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce house rules and address any violations promptly and fairly.
- Conduct weekly house meetings to discuss concerns, progress, and any updates.
- Ensure the house is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Takes care of discharges and documentation.
- Make sure curfews are being met.
- Monitor and document members’ progress and compliance with house rules.
- Keep record of admissions, discharges, drug test results, medications, in Sobriety Hub software.
- Ensure that members understand and comply with the prohibition of alcohol and illicit drugs on and off the premises.
- Conduct drug testing/breathalyzer at admission and random drug and alcohol testing for accountability.
- Facilitate Commitment to Recovery Plan, once a month with member.
- Plan for termination of program when services are no longer needed, assisting members in finding other housing. (if applicable)
- Ensure a smooth transition for members leaving the sober living home.
Additional Information:
- Receive a $ 100 bonus after successfully completing your first 90 days of employment.
- Education reimbursement if you do not hold a current CPR, First-Aid, and Narcan Certification.
Pay: $1,500.00 per month
