The Director of New Hope Education Center is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the Executive Director of Secondary Schools, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.

Primary Function: The Director of the New Hope Education Center serves as a strategic, innovative leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating a diverse portfolio of educational programs. This role ensures high-quality educational opportunities for students across multiple pathways, including the Paulding College and Career Academy (PCCA), Paulding Virtual Academy, ALFAS (Alternative Learning for Academic Success), Hospital/Homebound, and the Phoenix Program. The Director provides the leadership and vision necessary to meet students' academic, social, and career-readiness needs through flexible, integrated instructional models. |

Qualifications:
|
Must hold or be eligible for Georgia Level 5 certification or higher in Educational Leadership |
|
Minimum of three (3) years successful school or district leadership |
|
Demonstrated evidence of successful leadership resulting in improved outcomes for students |
|
Solid understanding of best practices for online and blended learning/instruction and familiarity with learning management systems |
|
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, stakeholders, and other administrators |
|
Results-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and activities |

Essential Functions:

Leads and coordinates a comprehensive range of educational models, ensuring a seamless interface between virtual learning, career-tech pathways, alternative education, and graduation completion programs. |
|
Partners with CTAE leadership and high school programs across the district to provide unique college, career, and dual enrollment training opportunities to all high school students. |
|
Perform duties relating to the provision of hospital/homebound services established by the State Department of Education |
|
Coordinates partnerships with staff and outside agencies to expand innovative educational models to improve student success rates. |
|
Acts as a strategic leader to support and expand innovation across multiple completion pathways, increasing equitable access to flexible options. |
|
Drives the continued growth and alignment of PCCA pathways to workforce demands and postsecondary opportunities |
|
Focuses on increasing the impact of programs through creative problem-solving and data-informed strategies to support on-time graduation for non-traditional, at-risk, and/or off-track students. |
|
Provides instructional leadership, coaching, and supervision to drive continuous program improvement aligned with district strategic goals. |
|
Regularly analyzes program and student performance data to determine areas of strength and weakness and implements success-oriented interventions. |
|
Coordinates with the Student Services Department to ensure the delivery of Special Education services is in compliance with state and federal laws. |
|
Responsible for general administrative duties and the day-to-day operations of the New Hope Education Center and its diverse programs. |
|
Works with district leadership to develop and maintain the annual budget, ensuring all purchases comply with statutory requirements and Board Policies. |
|
Provides for a safe, orderly, and secure campus environment that promotes student engagement and achievement. |
|
Serves as a liaison between the Teaching and Learning Department, School Leadership Department, and school leaders, ensuring effective two-way communication, coordination, and organizational coherence. |
|
Exhibits high-quality communication with all staff, students, and families, encouraging a high level of participation and providing additional support as needed. |
|
Plans and implements high-quality professional learning for faculty and staff, ensuring alignment with district strategic initiatives and adult learning principles. |
|
Stays current on state and federal policy, procedures, and legislation, and ensures program compliance |
|
Oversee the implementation and coordination of the state standardized testing process, and monitors student participation rates |
|
Explore partnerships that expand the district’s ability to support at-risk seniors |
|
Prepares special and routine reports for the Superintendent, as required. |
|
Direct, evaluate, and supervise the labor of all employees of the Alternative Education Program |
|
Follow federal and state laws as well as Board Policies |
|
Provide for a safe, orderly, and secure campus and environment |
