What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Provider position at New Hope Child Care?
Job Overview
We are looking for a Chaos Coordinator & Professional High-Fiver (Childcare Worker)
Mostly in multiple classrooms where the floor can spontaniously turn into lava.
Are you an expert at negotiating with tiny dictators? Can you transition from a high-stakes block-tower engineering project to an operatic performance of "The Wheels on the Bus" without missing a beat? If so, you might be the that new family member we have been looking for.
We are in need of two Childcare Workers who are ready to match the boundless energy of a room full of children. Your main goal is to keep our little humans safe, happy, and learning while maintaining your sanity and a healthy sense of humor.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include:
- Diplomacy & Conflict Resolution: Mediating intense standoffs over who had the blue crayon first.
- Culinarily Questionable Distribution: Serving snacks while ensuring 80% of the food actually makes it into mouths rather than on the floor.
- Stamina Training: Participating in impromptu dance parties, games of tag, and answering the question "Why?" approximately 400 times an hour.
- Creative Masterminding: Leading arts and crafts sessions where success is measured by how much glitter stays in the classroom and off your clothes.
- Safety Marshalling: Keeping a hawk-like eye on the perimeter to ensure no one eats a rogue Lego or attempts a daring escape to the playground swings.
What You Bring to the Sandbox:
- An Unshakable Spirit: You don't flinch in the face of spilled milk, minor tantrums, or sudden, unexplained stickiness.
- Eyes in the Back of Your Head: (Metaphorically, though literally would be amazing).
- Excellent Communication: You can hold a serious conversation with a parent at pickup while simultaneously ensuring a toddler doesn't eat their own shoe.
- The Basics: Prior experience with kids, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to get it), and a clean background check.
Perks:
- Daily workouts included (mostly lifting children and sprinting after runaway toys).
- Invaluable compliments like, "You look like a dinosaur."
- Unmatched job satisfaction from helping little minds grow.
To Apply: Include your resume and bonus points for whoever provides a brief description of your most creative strategy for convincing a kid to take a nap.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Childcare
- Employee discount
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
