We are currently looking for qualified individuals to join our team! Candidates should be caring, patient, dependable, and fun! Year-round part-time position available.
Basic Function
Overseeing 4- and 5-year-olds in a welcoming, caring, and educational environment.
Providing care for students, and plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences in a Christian setting.
Responsibilities for Child Care Teacher
- Encourage positive behavior and good manners
- Provide a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment
- Ensure students adhere to the school and child care stated rules and policies
- Plan, schedule and implement developmentally appropriate experiences
- Respect the dignity and basic rights of each child
- Work with and refer to the director children with unmet needs
- Make daily observations of the health of children, reporting conditions which require attention
- Work with director and parents to solve behavior problems
- Help children learn to adapt to and cope with real-life situations; to develop appropriate habits in such activities as eating, dressing, napping and personal hygiene
- Assure that equipment and materials are accessible, appropriate and in good condition
- Perform classroom cleaning duties as requested
- Maintain a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for staff and children
Qualifications for Child Care Teacher
- Clear criminal background checks
- Meet the State of Nebraska Licensing Requirements
- Prior experience in a child care center preferred, but will train the right person
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 16 years old
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
