About the Role
New Hope Benefits is actively seeking licensed, professional Benefit Counselors to join our network as Independent Contractors. In this role, you will work directly with employees during open enrollment periods to educate them on their core and voluntary benefit options, guide them through selection, and complete accurate enrollment processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, engaging 1-on-1 benefit consultations (in-person or virtual) to educate employees on health, life, and voluntary insurance products.
- Assist employees with enrollment software navigation and accurate form submission.
- Provide impartial, consultative guidance tailored to individual employee needs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, compliance, and adherence to Virginia state insurance laws.
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Life & Health Insurance License (Required).
- Prior experience in benefit counseling, insurance sales, or enrollment administration.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to simplify complex insurance concepts.
- Reliable laptop, internet access, and dependable transportation for client sites.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a HUGE plus.
Compensation & Logistics
- Competitive 1099 project/contract rate structure.
- Per diem compensation available on a case-by-case basis for qualified engagements.

Pay: $35.47 - $42.71 per hour
