Join our team and become part of something special! We are looking for a veterinary technician to fill a part-time or full-time role at Exeter Veterinary Hospital. We are a well-established and independently owned small animal veterinary hospital dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to our clients and patients. Our dedicated employees work together to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
Our veterinary technicians and staff play a vital role in assisting veterinarians in providing high quality care for our patients and excellent customer service to our clients. We are looking for a technician who is confident and skilled in interacting with clients/patients during exams, managing samples in the lab, filling prescriptions in the pharmacy, treating hospitalized patients and who also has experience in anesthesia, surgery and dentistry. There is a cross training/rotating schedule which allows technicians to be experienced in all areas of our hospital including reception and assisting with traveling specialists. Experience with dental radiology is desirable but training with our software/technique is readily available.
Familiarity with Avimark software is helpful, but the program is also easy to learn. Certified veterinary technicians will be provided with a continuing education allowance.
As for the details – Full time schedule would average at least 36 hours/wk with 3 – 3.5 weekday shifts and part time schedule would average 20-25 hours/wk through a combination of full and morning or afternoon weekday shifts. Periodic and holiday bonuses are regularly provided. Both full and part-time positions qualify for paid time off and additional holiday pay. 401K, 401K match and 401K profit sharing are available. Two health insurance plans are available to choose from, including an HSA option, for full-time employees. Uniform allowance and employee pet discounts are provided for all employees.
Pay is competitive and commensurate with abilities, experience, credentials and attitude. Pay is reevaluated regularly.
