The State of New Hampshire, Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services has a full-time vacancy for Veterans Service Officer.

Summary

To interview, advise and assist veterans, their spouses and/or survivors in presenting claims for the complete range of benefits to which they might be entitled under federal, state and local laws for the Division of Veterans Services (DVS).

• YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:** Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Experience:** Associate's degree and 2 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in case service work, personnel, interviewing, investigative or other work affording frequent public contact.
• License/Certification:** Valid drivers license
  
  

Other Requirements

• Must pass a State Police records check
• Must be able to travel to their designated work site and to outreach activities.

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Appointment consideration shall be given to qualified eligible veterans or eligible persons.
