We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at NH Ball Bearings. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating manufacturing processes to minimize production costs while ensuring high quality product that meets tolerancing standards and specifications. With your excellent communication skills, you will lead large or multiple projects, oversee assigned engineers and check the work for accuracy. You will provide professional presentations and consultation to both internal and external partners at all levels.
Responsibilities
* Design for Manufacturability Analysis of components and bearings, and partner with stakeholders to design solutions for customers
* Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies and process for bearing assemblies and components
* Develop and release manufacturing plans and detailed work instructions from 2D drawing-based engineering and from 3D model-based engineering, using both 2D and 3D model-based work instructions with graphics while overseeing plan and build optimization
* Communicate timelines for program development/review and change requests, and proactively manage task execution to ensure on time completion and delivery of high quality manufacturing engineering products and support
* Lead assigned Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects from development and justification analysis through project completion
* Resolve escalated technical issues, prioritizing impact to performance, cost or schedule.
* Participate in Kaizen events, and implement LEAN principles and technologies
* Leads small projects, partnering with employees at all levels to ensure deadlines and objectives are met. Oversees development of presentation data and materials and communicates professionally to stakeholders.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams to learn and share best practices. Maintains an understanding of industry standards and trends to improve processes within primary work area.
* Ensures compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, keeping an organized work area and reporting concerns to leadership or the Safety team.
Job Skills & Abilities
* Relevant technical and computer skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks, MS Access, and Excel).
* Highly skilled at blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation and tolerancing.
* Highly self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with employees at all levels of the company and external clients; written and/or verbally.
* Excellent attention to detail.
Education and Experience Required
* A four year degree in engineering or a related field.
* A minimum of two (2) years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
* Experience in aerospace industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
* Must be able to physically lift up to 40lbs, when necessary.
