- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards and in compliance with Oregon Food Handler rules.
- Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, dating, and handling techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences to include altered textures and specialized diets.
- Provide exceptional food service during meal times, ensuring resident satisfaction.
- Participate in catering events as needed.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting fellow kitchen staff.
Qualifications
- Maintain an active Oregon Food Handlers card.
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
