What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Support Staff position at New Foundations Residential treatment home?
We are looking for compassionate, energetic individuals to help support residents with mental health challenges. Job duties include support with ADLs, learning to live more independently, integrating into the community, preparing meals, administering medication, crisis support, etc. Individuals applying must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Duties:
- Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
- Charting or taking notes for others to review
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
- Preparing meals
- house keeping
- Responding to emergency situations
- Administering medication
- Transporting client to appointments
- Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
