Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Director will oversee and manage all clinical operations, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, supervise clinical staff, and support the implementation of evidence-based practices. This role is critical in maintaining service quality, supporting staff development, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the agency’s clinical programming.
Candidate will also be a patient focused self-starter with the ability to work independently while still being a part of a very supportive team. This position is strongly encouraged for a clinician with targeted case management experience and established clientele is encouraged.
Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Oversee, direct and engage as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide direct supervision to licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, interns, and contractors.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Texas behavioral health regulations, Medicaid/insurance requirements, and ethical standards of care.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans and clinical documentation.
- Conduct case reviews and ensure timely documentation and service delivery.
- Facilitate regular clinical team meetings, case conferences, and professional development trainings.
- Support credentialing, licensure, and ongoing education of clinical staff.
- Collaborate with administrative and billing departments to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, funding agencies, and community partners.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide clinical support for complex cases as needed.
- Support quality assurance processes including audits, incident reporting, and outcome monitoring.
- Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness as needed.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described, such as attending trainings and regular team meetings.
- Use excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Participate in regular team meetings.
- Handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion and adherence to HIPAA rules

Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active Texas license as an LPC-S, LCSW-S, LMFT-S, or equivalent supervisory license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, managed care, Commercial, Private and behavioral health documentation standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in clinical software (e.g., EHR systems) and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient and/or community-based mental health settings.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and families.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
This position will be In Office upon request with clinical sessions completed via telehealth or in office, and may require travel to our distant locations.
