Role Description
The Armed Guard is a part time per diem, predominantly on-site role based in NYC. Responsibilities include maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, patrolling assigned areas, and addressing safety concerns. The guard will ensure compliance with security protocols, monitor security equipment, respond promptly to incidents, and work collaboratively with clients and team members to uphold the highest standards of safety and security per New Era Security Services written policies.
Qualifications
- Active or Retired Law Enforcement
- NYS Armed Guard License
- Full, Concealed, Unrestricted, Special, Business, or Employment Pistol Permit
- Possession of a valid New York State Armed Guard license and firearm certification
- HR- 218 or eligible a plus
- Physical fitness and ability to perform security duties which may include standing, walking, or responding to emergencies
- Prior experience in a security or law enforcement role is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
