Secondary Operator

New England Spring is a growing business in Bristol, CT. We are fast-paced and customer-centric. We have been supplying fourslide, coiling, secondary, and stamping parts to the aerospace, medical, automotive, HVAC, lighting, mining, and industrial industries since 1946. Our facility is registered to ISO 9001-2015 and AS9100 D. These standards, for general manufacturing and aerospace, respectively, demonstrate our commitment to quality and improvement over time.

About the Position:

The Secondary Operator position is a floating position. Daily tasks change and may vary due to work load and business requirements.

You will:

- Learn about multiple departments and how they work.
- Understand the manufacturing process of a spring or other components.
- Learn how to setup tooling and equipment.
- Material handling and traceability.
- Basic quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:

Duties:

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Count and pack parts for shipment or next process.
• Obey all safety regulations and comply with ISO 9001 Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in their work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Basic communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
