What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Operator position at Lee Spring Company LLC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload springs into and out of drying ovens in accordance with established work instructions.
- Load and unload springs into and out of heat-treating ovens while maintaining required production standards.
- Load and unload springs into and out of passivation tanks following established safety and quality procedures.
- Rinse springs after completion of the passivation process to ensure product quality specifications are met.
- Inspect parts for obvious defects and notify the supervisor of any quality concerns.
- Pack finished parts according to company standards and prepare them for transfer to the shipping area.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety policies.
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions.
- High mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn manufacturing processes.
- Ability to safely lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Work Schedule:
- First Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Second Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
