The New England Recruiting Report has been the foremost authority on high school basketball and recruiting in the New England area since 2006.

What you will do:

• Track and evaluate prospects and teams from Albany to Buffalo (Potentially Erie, PA) in an internal database
• Identify and highlight talented players seeking to advance to the collegiate level
• Provide comprehensive coverage of the local high school basketball landscape
• Contribute to our growing reputation as a trusted recruiting resource beyond New England
• Actively engage with coaches, players, and other media members to develop valuable insights and maintain professional relationships.

What we are looking for:

• Passion for basketball and a genuine interest in player recruiting.
• Excellent Writing and Research abilities to craft insightful, clear, and compelling stories about young athletes.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and proactively while meeting deadlines.
• Desire to grow within the basketball space.
• Knowledge of the Upstate New York basketball scene. (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in sports journalism or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
