Opportunity
New England Caseworks is seeking a Millwork Finisher. A Millwork Finisher needs to be highly detailed, able to handle multiple projects at a time, highly organized, able to solve problems and work with a team to produce results and meet deadlines.
Role
Responsible for all aspects of the finishing process from setup, color matching, quality control, inventory stock, cleanup and maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing millwork for spraying (sanding, wiping, inspecting)
- Color matching per sample or specification
- Oversee and produce all finished material
- Manage, use and maintain Superficial reciprocating finish line
- Work with Production Manager to identify deadlines for material needed for upcoming projects
- Prepare stock requisitions for purchasing
Requirements
- 2-5 years Finish Department experience
- 1-3 years cabinet making experience
- Familiarity with materials and hardware for commercial casework and millwork
- Dependable
- Driven, strong personal work ethic
- Able to effectively manage information, schedules and people
- Well organized and able to appropriately prioritize tasks
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to position and tasks
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Disclaimer
The worker will be subject to noise from automated machinery. This position requires someone to cut, lift, and transport wood and other materials from floor to waist height on a regular basis. This is a standing position and frequent movement around shop floor is required. No travel is required for this position. All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
