Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor position serves as a hands-on supervisor responsible for actively leading and participating in daily warehouse operations. The role oversees and works directly with the team in processing and fulfilling all orders, receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate physical inventory, and supporting related operational activities. Responsibilities include supervising and physically assisting with inbound and outbound shipments via freight and package carriers, coordinating and supporting customer pickups, and working alongside staff to execute scheduled deliveries using company trucks. This role combines leadership, accountability, and direct operational involvement to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely service.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Oversight of staff will include assisting in hiring, procedure training, quality control, proper staffing needs, organizing the flow of warehouse product, procedure enforcement, and terminations.
• Monitor staff performance and lead training initiatives
• Oversite and enforcement of safety protocols on all warehouse equipment
• Candidate will be handling a large variety of metal liner, metal pipe, & components related to the chimney industry.
• Oversight of picking parts & packaging products for shipment.
• Oversight of receiving and physical inventory control functions.
• Responsible for maintaining the training matrix and assisting to onboard new hires.
• Cross training and back-up for the Logistics Manager to learn DOT Compliance, training, Delivery Routing, Logistics, Omega Freight Systems, Fleet leases, Recruiting and retention of drivers.
• The position report to the Director of Operations and has a team of 10 to 20 depending on the season.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have the ability to read paperwork to create a shipping order with an eye for detail.
• Candidate must have the ability to work well with others to create a fluid, high capacity, accurate, fulfilment system.
• Candidate must be well organized and understand the flow of a fast-paced warehouse environment with deadlines to meet, while maintaining accuracy.
• Position requires the ability to take direction from senior management and a willingness to create and implement the needs of the company.
• Forklift knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Candidate should have a knowledge of computers systems. More specifically, software that relates to shipping, package tracking, truck routing & dispatching.
• DOT regulation and Elog system knowledge while not required, is a plus.
• Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Candidate must have excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
• High School Diploma / GED with minimum 5 years of warehouse supervisory experience.
• This is a full-time salaried position, flexibility in working hours is expected, including occasional additional hours as needed to meet deadlines and business needs.
