The Facilities & Residential Property Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and upkeep of organization-owned and leased residential properties used for staff housing, while also providing general maintenance and facilities support throughout the organization.

The position serves as the primary facilities contact for staff housing and is responsible for ensuring residential properties are well maintained, appropriately furnished, and ready for occupancy. When residential property responsibilities do not require the employee's full attention, the position supports the Facilities Department with routine maintenance, cleaning, supply management, and other operational needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary facilities contact for organization-owned and leased staff housing.
  • Respond to routine maintenance concerns and complete minor repairs when appropriate.
  • Identify maintenance needs requiring outside contractors and coordinate service with approved vendors.
  • Coordinate apartment and house turnovers, including inspections, cleaning, repairs, furnishings, and preparation for incoming occupants.
  • Assist with employee move-ins and move-outs and coordinate related logistical needs.
  • Maintain and organize furniture, household goods, appliances, and other items used in staff residences.
  • Periodically inspect properties to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or furnishing needs.
  • Maintain basic records regarding property condition, repairs, furnishings, and turnover activities.
  • Coordinate with employees and organizational leadership regarding residential property needs.
  • Assist with delivery, assembly, relocation, and removal of furniture and household items.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout school and organizational facilities.
  • Complete minor repairs involving doors, hardware, fixtures, walls, flooring, furniture, and similar building components.
  • Assist with room setups, furniture moves, deliveries, and other physical plant needs.
  • Perform cleaning and custodial duties as needed.
  • Monitor and replenish maintenance, custodial, and facility supplies.
  • Identify building or equipment issues and report larger repair needs to the Assistant Director of Facilities.
  • Assist other Facilities Department employees with maintenance projects and departmental priorities.
  • Respond to urgent facilities needs as directed.

What You'll Need:

  • General knowledge of building maintenance and basic repair work.
  • Ability to independently assess and resolve routine maintenance issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple properties and competing priorities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with employees occupying organization-provided housing.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, moving furniture, climbing stairs and ladders, and working with basic hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between organizational properties.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, residential property maintenance, building operations, or a related field preferred.
