What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core Shift Manager- Forest position at New England Center for Children Inc?
Under the supervision of the Program Specialist, the Core Shift Manager is the supervisor responsible for providing support for a residential team during assigned day, evening and weekend shifts. The CSM provides support for ensuring safety, management of shift responsibilities, communication and student programming.
General Responsibilities:
- Role model for professionalism and teaching skills
- Provides feedback to ensure consumer safety, staff safety and to maintain an environment of respect (e.g. ensures transfer of groups is completed, head counts, cultural considerations, etc.)
- Provides coaching and feedback to support consumer engagement and success
- Shift supervision during weekend, evening, and day shifts according to NECC and team guidelines
- Communication of pertinent information to PS and team members efficiently and effectively
- Works to ensure consumer guidelines are being implemented as written for both clinical and educational programs
- Communicates with supervisors (i.e. Residential Services for evenings/weekends, team supervisors during the week) to ensure student needs are met
- Schedule management during assigned weekend and evening shifts
- Must work a CSM schedule
- Weekend shift (Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday- Thursday) and evening shifts, typically 5-day schedule to provide consistent leadership across all shifts
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proven leadership ability are a must for this position
- Must meet the requirements of the level 1 or level 2 position
