Duties
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of day habilitation programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals with developmental disabilities
- Supervise program staff, including direct reports and support personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Manage program budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize participant outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with participants’ families, guardians, community partners, and service providers to promote collaboration and holistic support
- Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to developmental disabilities services and behavioral health standards
- Develop innovative activities that promote social skills, independence, and community engagement for participants
- Monitor program quality through regular assessments and implement continuous improvements to enhance service delivery
Experience
- Proven management experience in a social work or behavioral health setting, preferably overseeing programs for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated success in program development and implementation within a community-based or healthcare environment
- Supervising experience with staff leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Strong background in working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including knowledge of behavioral health strategies
- Administrative experience in budgeting, documentation, compliance tracking, and report writing
- Familiarity with relationship management involving families, community agencies, and healthcare providers
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices related to habilitation services is highly desirable
Job Requirements for Day Program
- Previous day program experience
- Previous experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to vehicles
- Ability to work between the hours of 7am-4:30pm Monday-Saturday
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of HS Diploma or GED
- Will be required to obtain first aid and CPR certification & Water Safety certification
- Physically able to lift and potentially carry up to 50lbs, frequently bend, squat, twist and stretch while loading and unloading passengers from vehicles and assisting individuals at the day program.
- Ability to work in an environment where you will be exposed to behaviors and required to physically assistance with client’s personal hygiene needs.
