Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, outdoor tools, plants, and landscape materials.
- Provide expert advice on lawn care, plant identification, floral design, and landscape maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves with seasonal plants, gardening tools, and outdoor equipment.
- Support inventory management by stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and organizing storage areas efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person to answer questions about products or services.
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as planting, watering, pruning, and basic landscape maintenance when needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, floral design, and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and stock levels efficiently.
- Outdoor work experience including lawn care, gardening, or landscaping is highly desirable.
