Competitive Pay (Based on Experience)

• What You'll Do

• As part of our teaching team, you will:
• Implement our fully accredited weekly curriculum.
• Help create a fun, engaging, and nurturing classroom.
• Work alongside your team to maintain a clean, safe learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with children and their families.
• Communicate daily with parents about their child's progress and classroom activities.
• Complete child assessments and hold parent conferences twice each year.
• Engage in play-based learning and meaningful interactions with children.
• Support each child's health, happiness, confidence, and overall well-being.
• Help foster a classroom environment that reflects our Christian values of love, kindness, compassion, and respect.
• Assist with additional classroom responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous childcare experience, preferably in a childcare center environment
• For Teacher/Assistant Teacher qualified positions- meets the education & experience requirements as defined by DCYF
• Exemplifies the standards and characteristics of a New Creations employee (responsible, flexible, reliable, positive role model, etc.)
• State DHS background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been “convicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.”
• Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment.
• SUIDS & AHT completed on first day of employment.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
With or without reasonable accommodation this position requires:

• Ability to travel on an ongoing basis.
• Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12”) chairs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier.
• Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.).
• Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods.
• The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination.
• Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
