Job Description
Full-Time Hourly – Roving Position
Reports to: Maintenance Coordinator and CTO
POSITION PURPOSE
This is a full-time, hourly, roving position responsible for providing scheduled maintenance support across multiple New Creations locations. Locations- Big Lake, Blaine, Brooklyn Park, Burnsville, Crocus Hill, Hugo, Lakeville, Lexington (Blaine), Lino Lakes, Maple Grove, Prior Lake, Riverdale (Coon Rapids), Rush Creek, St. Michael, The Lodge, Valley View, and Waconia. .
The Maintenance Technician ensures that all facilities, properties, and equipment are well-maintained and free of licensing violations. Responsibilities include repairs, painting, light mechanical work, and maintenance of classrooms, playgrounds, and kitchens.
This position requires a clean, professional appearance and respectful conduct at all times, as work takes place in active childcare environments and around staff and families. Tools and materials must always be secured, and interactions must be safety-focused and courteous.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Check in with the Site Director upon arrival and conduct a walkthrough using the maintenance checklist.

Prioritize and complete maintenance requests submitted through the Maintenance Ticket system.

Perform drywall patching, painting, light plumbing, HVAC/appliance repairs.

Maintain grounds: weed control, mulching, salting, gutter inspections, fence and play area upkeep.

Repair potholes and other damage to parking lots or outdoor walking surfaces as needed.

Repair or assemble classroom furniture, cribs, toys, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain and inspect playground structures for safety and appearance.

Communicate respectfully with center staff and leadership to minimize disruptions.

Maintain a clean, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Drive between locations
Pay: $20-$25 pending experience
Schedule:
- Flexible 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Nights and Weekends as needed

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

General knowledge of facility maintenance, tools, and safety.

Experience with drywall, painting, light plumbing, and grounds upkeep.

Experience working in child-centered or public environments preferred.

Valid Driver’s License

Strong communication and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Driving 30 minutes to 1.5 hours per day

Standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, kneeling, and repetitive motions.

Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Comfort working in busy childcare environments with constant safety awareness.
