Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate installations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform conduit bending, wiring, and electrical system setup.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures and adhere to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring and connections.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters to identify electrical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety protocols on construction sites.
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, conduit bending, and wiring techniques is highly desirable.
- Construction site experience or related construction background will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety procedures, including working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while following all safety guidelines.
- Basic skills in frame carpentry or related construction trades are a plus but not mandatory.
