Quality Assurance Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but are not limited to):

• Conduct regular and systematic review of Medicaid and program documentation to ensure timeliness and meets quality expectations
• Conduct utilization review to improve quality of care / program
• Develop reports of findings and recommendations and communicate to supervisory staff
• Track, monitor, and measure the annual quality performance of the program and develop recommendations based on annual changes
• Identify staff training needs through auditing activities
• Support clinical directors and supervisors to create systems and processes that facilitate achievement of quality assurance goals and continuous quality improvement
• Assist in the development of appropriate recreational and community activities for the consumers
• Adhere to cultural competency and anti-discriminatory practice
• Input individualized goals for consumers in electronic system according to the ISP
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Understanding of Medicaid regulations
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to write and understand progress notes
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to successfully collaborate with staff throughout the agency
• Associates Degree or college credit
• One year’s experience supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities or related field and credits toward college degree preferred
• Experience with Foothold technology program or similar Electronic Health Records
