What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, NCSA, Apiary position at New College of Florida?
This position is responsible for the management, maintenance, and care of the Apiary on the Caples Campus.
- Maintain access to the Apiary at all times
- Teach the Apiary Tutorial every semester, educating students on how the Apiary works and how to engage with it safely and carefully
- Harvesting the bee products and distributing the harvesters to the greater New College Community
- Maintain working relationships with the Waterfront staff and the Caples estate occupants
- Ensure that the Apiary Bees are living healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling lives
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be an enrolled student, must be in good academic standing (maintain minimum cumulative institutional 2.5 GPA for undergraduate students and 3.0 GPA for graduate students)
- Experience in student government of similar leadership roles is highly preferred.
- Familiar with the Student Government Constitution and Statutes.
