What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Counselor position at New Bridge Foundation?
New Bridge Foundation is named by Newsweek as one of America's "Best Addiction Treatment Centers". Our mission is to provide individuals with the education, counseling, support and skills necessary to live productive and healthy lives without the use of drugs or alcohol.We are currently seeking a full-time counselor to work in our admissions office, located in Berkeley, Monday through Friday, including holidays. Candidates must be certified by one of three DHCS-approved organizations (CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP) and have:
- Experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Proficiency handling screening and conducting clinical assessments and intake.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to act as a liaison to referral sources, probation officers, and other community resources
- A friendly outgoing personality
Qualifications:
- AOD certification from CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP
- ASAM Dimension certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn EHR software
