We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Team Lead to drive excellence in daily landscape operations and team management.
This energetic leader will oversee a wide range of functions, including sales, inventory control, customer service, and staff supervision. As an Operations Team Lead, you will motivate your team, streamline processes, and ensure operational efficiency to meet business goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily operations , ensuring smooth execution of daily jobs.
- Manage inventory levels through effective stock management, purchasing, and merchandising strategies
- over see the part time payroll processes with accuracy and integrity, keeping track of your crews hours and time on the job.
- Train and develop team members in customer service excellence, pruning, edging, small hardscapes, plant material, proper planting techniques etc and efficiency on the job, and company policies
- Coordinate and communicate with your team members on any changes when it comes to the job.
- Implement marketing initiatives and take excellent photos, videos of our products and services before during and after for social media. Up sale services based on clients needs to boost sales
- Monitor teams performance and optimize products for quality and profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, our policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in landscape, hardscape, or retail / service environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling.
- Ability to handle negotiations with vendors or suppliers effectively
- Skilled in employee orientation, training & development programs, and performance evaluations
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, and customer service standards.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and administrative task management.
- Must be able to work outside all day in all environments.
