What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child/Teen Crime Victim Advocate position at New Beginnings APFV?
High energy and busy position provides direct services and case management to victims of child abuse, domestic abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking, harassment and/or stalking with a focus on healthy relationships and safety support/advocacy. Duties includes involvement in criminal cases and civil filings such as restraining orders. Strong focus on supports for victims of sexual assault and human trafficking. The person in this position will assist in meeting the mid to long range goals of clients, will facilitate service and safety planning, lead the children's and/or teen support groups. Provide crisis intervention as needed. A strong ability to connect with children, teens and their parents/guardians is a must. Community and school outreach (public speaking) is a significant portion of this role. Seeking a responsible, organized and dependable individual. This is a full -time position M-F. We work 72 hours vs 80 hours per pay period.
