What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker (DCW) - Monday-Thursday, 9AM-7PM, $17-18/hour position at New Beginning Homes?
We are looking for reliable employees to provide direct care for the members in our group home. We are proud to house and care for the developmentally disabled population in our homes and believe in providing a home and family-like setting.
The direct care worker's (DCW) primary responsibility is to provide support and care for the members living in the home and to maintain a safe environment. Our ideal staff are ready and willing to assist our members with their needs of daily living including: Transportation to appointments (using company vehicles), hygiene, medication administration, meal preparation, chores and other daily routines of our clients. BHTs assist the members by directing interactions including behavioral management and facilitate recreational and social life skills activities.
