Compliance Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is a responsible full-time administrative position. The incumbent is responsible for all administrative tasks relating to EEO, MBE/WBE, Section 3and prevailing wage enforcement.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Receives daily, direct supervision from the Director of Security & Compliance

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Working knowledge of local, State and Federal laws, rules and regulations dealing with equal opportunity, contract compliance, Section 3, & MBE/WBE compliance.

2. Maintain a working understanding of all NBHA polices related to, eligible contracts and agreements for compliance with M/WBE, EEO, and Section 3 requirements and goals. Compile data for the purpose of HUD reporting.

3. Assist with outreach to NBHA residents and local community organizations for the purposes of Section 3 participation in employment and training programs.

4. Must posses a valid MA license and be willing to visit job sites, housing developments, businesses and organizations as needed.

5. Attend pre-bid, pre-construction and job site meetings to explain the special contract provisions and answer questions related to those provisions.

6. Maintain and review payrolls for accuracy and completeness.

7. Identify discrepancies or errors and report to the Director of Modernization or Procurement Officer.

8. Perform on-site job interviews.

9. Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.

2. Knowledge of written communication formats, business English, business math, and composition.

3. Skill in using tact, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with others.

4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

5. Ability to compose correspondence and reports and secure and maintain confidential information.

6. Ability to organize and maintain basic files and logs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

You must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. In addition, you must be knowledgeable in all applicable regulatory requirements, responsible for overseeing the equal participation in NBHA programs and services, compliance, and reinforce initiatives committing to inclusion regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, disability, mental illness, veteran status, active military personnel, genetics, and/or retaliation.

Possession of an Associate’s degree is preferred. Prior experience in working effectively with others, particularly with those experiencing physical, mental, social, and/or economic problems is also very helpful. The person selected for this position shall possess good oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, and an ability to work well as a staff member within a team setting. Possession of a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and access to an automobile in good working order is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per year
