Role Description This full-time, on-site Loan Officer role is based in Salt Lake City, UT. The Loan Officer will consult with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals, explain loan products, and guide them through the mortgage application and approval process. Daily responsibilities include originating residential loans, collecting and analyzing financial documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The role involves providing clear, timely communication, maintaining detailed records in loan origination systems, and delivering a high level of customer service from initial contact through closing and beyond. The Loan Officer will also cultivate referral relationships with real estate professionals and other partners to build a sustainable pipeline of clients.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in loan origination and working as a Loan Officer, with a solid understanding of residential mortgage products.
- Strong finance and underwriting knowledge, including the ability to analyze income, assets, credit, and debt-to-income ratios.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and support clients throughout the loan process.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and basic office software (e.g., CRM tools, document management platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City, UT and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant state licensing and NMLS registration (or eligibility to obtain), in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
