Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator to join our interdisciplinary team. This hybrid role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with accurate cost estimating to support quoting, process optimization, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
- Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Review RFQs, drawings, and customer specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and outsourced services
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and job travelers
- Provide technical input during bid reviews and customer discussions
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities during the quoting and manufacturing phase
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software
- Experience with Epicor ERP system highly preferred
- Experience with Gibbs cam or Mastercam is a Plus!
