The Account Manager will act as the primary liaison between our company and our customers. This position will be expected to drive value by understanding our clients’ business objectives while finding solutions that complement those initiatives. AMs are also expected to grow client revenue, maintain positive relationships with existing clients, and maintain assigned quotas. 70-80% of the AMs time will be customer facing while 20-30% spent on internal project management.

Essential Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations
- Provide quotes using industry analytics, market conditions, and history to quote freight rates for customers on a per load or contract basis
- Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams to identify new strategic customers
- Ensure client satisfaction and identify new opportunities to create increased revenue
- Stay in touch with all accounts on a daily basis
- Prospect new customers using email, cold calls, networking, etc.
- Monitor the health of current accounts and the volume balance of your book
- Manage and mitigate account service-related issues/failures
- Responsible for the success of the engagement and overall client satisfaction
- Establish, maintain, and grow customer relationships
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Maintain and grow account revenue
- Maintain and or exceed defined quotas for each account
- Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure that our customers’ requests are fulfilled
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Account management experience
- Experience managing multiple customers simultaneously
- Strong customer sales ability and ability to multi-task operational tasks
- Proficient in MS Office, emphasis in Excel and strong typing skills
- Effective negotiation skills
- Data analysis
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to efficiently pivot from one task to another throughout the day
- Team player with ability to influence execution
- Eager to learn and open to different methods of execution
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
- 1 years of logistics sales and operations experience
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
