About the Role
Nevell Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Design/BIM Coordinator to join our Building Information Modeling (BIM) Department in NorCal Team.
This role is responsible for coordinating the development and management of digital project models while supporting the Design/BIM Manager in identifying potential obstacles and ensuring projects are constructible. The Senior Design/BIM Coordinator plays a key role in project coordination, cross-functional communication, and mentoring BIM staff. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical expertise in BIM modeling, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset that supports NGi’s project teams and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage Revit project setups, including templates, families, parameters, and workflow documentation
- Develop and manage BIM models for wall system projects, including Metal Wall Framing (MWF) templates and viewpoints
- Utilize Navisworks to set up and run clash detection, navigate models, and identify coordination issues
- Use Bluebeam to review construction documents and support project coordination
- Support and assist BIM Coordinators and Draftsmen with model modifications and troubleshooting
- Represent NGi at BIM coordination meetings with project teams and external partners
- Maintain and update monthly project schedule lists for the management team
- Update staff meeting worksheets prior to bi-weekly department meetings
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering design documents for each project
- Collaborate with Project Engineers (PEs) and Project Managers (PMs) to identify and resolve design and coordination issues
- Resolve escalated or complex modeling challenges requiring advanced BIM expertise
- Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to ensure consistent modeling standards and workflows
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and over-the-shoulder training to BIM staff
- Support training initiatives and professional development within the BIM department
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field preferred, or
- Eight (8) years of equivalent BIM, CAD, or construction modeling experience
Technical Skills & Software
Minimum eight (8) years of exposure to the following software is preferred:
- Revit Architecture – including families, templates, and parameters
- Navisworks Manage – clash detection and model coordination
- AutoCAD / AutoCAD Architecture
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Qualifications & Attributes
- Advanced understanding of structural and framing concepts related to NGi’s wall systems
- Experience supporting multiple BIM/CAD roles within a department
- Knowledge of construction processes and procedures
- Strong project and time management abilities
