Job Summary
Nevell Group is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of large-scale commercial wall system projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. This role plays a critical part in securing new work and supporting NGi’s continued growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for commercial wall system projects (interior/exterior).
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Develop quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction phases.
- Analyze historical cost data and market trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Manage bid schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.
- Mentor and support junior estimators as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preferably in wall systems (drywall, framing, plaster, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, OST, or similar).
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
