About the Role
Nevell Group, Inc. (NGi) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Bookkeeper to join our team.
This role is responsible for supporting purchasing operations by recording transactions, cross-referencing purchase orders with invoices, and ensuring accurate job cost tracking. The Purchasing Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting the Purchasing, Procurement, and AP/AR teams while helping to improve processes and maintain financial accuracy across all branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and sort all job cost invoices
- Assist the Purchasing team with price confirmation and receipt entry for monthly job cost invoices
- Update material and equipment pricing daily across all branches
- Enter job quote pricing for all projects
- Assist Accounts Payable with invoice corrections as needed
- Track and follow up on outstanding credits
- Ensure costs are entered and prepared ahead of payment due dates
- Generate monthly and quarterly yard/inventory reports
- Assist with yard cost job allocations
- Support job cost cleanup to resolve unpurchased material costs
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor

Education & Experience
- 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a construction or similar environment preferred
Technical Skills & Software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
- Experience with Smartsheet and other company systems
- Strong understanding of spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills
