We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and craftsmanship across all areas of commercial construction.Our 2026 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and insight into project management and construction processes from industry professionals.Program OverviewThis comprehensive 10-week program offers exposure to every phase of a project from inception to closeout. Interns will gain practical experience with project documentation, budget tracking, change management, and field coordination in both office and job site settings.Key Learning Areas & ExpectationsProject Phases & DocumentationLearn project roles and responsibilities throughout each phase.Assist in creating accurate submittals and closeout documentation.Example projects: WE3, Palmdale, LATTC, CEE, EPICUnderstand how to organize and maintain essential project records.Project Information & Change ManagementLearn to manage project changes (RFIs, ASIs, Bulletins) using PlanGrid.Understand how design or scope changes affect costs and schedules.Practice drafting clear and professional Requests for Information (RFIs).Communicate effectively with field teams via PlanGrid, email, and phone.Budget TrackingUnderstand cost codes, labor tracking, and timesheet management.Learn to monitor project costs, internal changes, and projected margins.Core ResponsibilitiesCreate and organize submittals and closeout documentation.Track and post RFIs using PlanGrid.Prepare and manage Change Order Requests.Support project teams with time tracking for active job sites (LATTC, The Lot, etc.).Program StructureWeek 1 Classroom Training (8:00 AM5:00 PM)Topics include:Introduction to NGis scope of workFraming, Hanging, Taping, Plaster/Waterproofing 101Preconstruction: Design-Bid vs. Design-BuildEstimating (OST Quick Bid)ACT/Ceiling Department OverviewPrefabrication & Panel AssemblyPlexxis TrainingConstruction Scheduling & Last Planner SystemDesign/BIM OverviewPlanGrid, Timekeeping & Payroll TrainingLeadership DevelopmentWeeks 210 On-the-Job ExperienceInterns will be paired with a dedicated Project Manager/Coach for mentorship.Experience includes working at both the home office and active job sites, applying classroom learning to live projects and real-world challenges.What Were Looking ForCurrent student or recent graduate in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.Strong interest in project management and field operations.Familiarity with PlanGrid or Plexxis (preferred, not required).Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Eagerness to learn and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Apply TodayBe part of a team thats shaping the future of construction through innovation and hands-on learning.Join NGis Summer Internship Program and build your foundation for a successful career.
